Help: Branding for IT companies
Give your customers ShareDesk with your own card: logo, contact, a customer page with your links and a short link.
What customers see
Customers who download ShareDesk from your link see your card at the top of the main window: your logo, Your IT support, your name and text, opening hours, phone, e-mail and website, or a picture of your own. It is the same signed app as everywhere; only the card is yours, and it follows your changes.
This computer
A customer can hide the card with a right-click › Don't Show This Card. The Windows app doesn't show the card yet.
Set it up
- Sign in to your web account and open Branding (administrators can edit; team members see it).
- Edit the default branding, or create another one. The label is only for your own list.
- Choose the style: simple (logo, name, text and your colours) or picture (your own image, at most twice as wide as high; 1200 × 300 pixels work well). Add phone, e-mail, website and opening hours.
- Check the live preview of the card and save.
Your customer page
Every branding has a customer page for e-mails and your website: your card and contact, the download for the customer's Mac and short, illustrated steps, in English, German, French or Italian depending on the visitor. You can set its headline, introduction and opening hours; your colour is used for its buttons. On a phone, the page offers to send the link to the computer.
A short link
Instead of the long address, give the page a short link such as sharedesk.app/s/weber-it: 3 to 40 characters, lower-case letters, digits and hyphens. Each short link exists only once.
Download links and app link
Next to the customer page, each branding has its own downloads – for current Macs and for older Macs – and an app link for buttons on your website that opens ShareDesk with your card. Copy them in the web account. For e-mails, use the customer page: it works on every device.
Several brandings and statistics
A team can have several brandings, for example one per company it works for; duplicate one to start from it. For each branding, the web account counts page visits and downloads per day – counters only, nothing about the visitors.
